Hello 👋🏼
Glad to see you here.
I’m Anindita Brahma, a homemaker, an aspiring entrepreneur, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and a face behind the blog “Aniskitchenstories,” a space where I’ll be sharing simple homely recipes that I cook often also some inspired bakes and delicacies.
My love for cooking & baking started since my School days which gradually became my passion. In the process of learning, cooking and experimenting in my kitchen with the available ingredients in the pantry, I sometimes come up with new recipes that has now inspired me to create a blog with the sheer idea of documenting and sharing recipes with everyone.
I believe in strong family ties. Apart from good food, I like fashion, travel, reading and watching historical facts and fiction, K-dramas, love for puppies & plants. Saggitarian by birth I always seek freedom and social by nature.
A native of Assam and Bodo by birth from North East of India, I’ve lived a considerable amount of time in the capital New Delhi during my graduation & post graduation days from University of Delhi and also brief stint of work in Airline sector. After that I’ve worked in the field of marketing, training, planning & development in a Private as well as Government sector of Assam. However life has its own course, and in the span of 10 years I’ve moved to Bangalore then Mumbai and currently I’m based in Hyderabad for the past 5 years. During the year from 2012 to 2016, I had followed a diet prescribed by Medical professionals due to my IVF treatment which brought me more closer to healthy eating, home cooking, checking nutrients in package foods and of course eating seasonal fruits & veggies. After many failures and heartbreak by God’s grace, I became mother to a sweet little boy through IVF. The whole treatment brought me to a different perspective of what I’m today and my journey of food and recipe connoisseur began and the time spent in kitchen was never wasted.
After the childbirth as a new mother then moving to a new city with a toddler and raising him without any help or a community had drained me mentally, physically and emotionally. I used to find solace in the kitchen cooking and baking while child used to play with pots and pans and the tiny little hands digging & eating the food I prepare gave me the utmost joy & comfort. Food according to me is a medium for connection. When we put heart and soul in preparing the simplest food, the taste and the flavours stands out.

Grateful that my husband’s job and profession gave me an opportunity to reside, visit and explore many places, eat different cuisines and garner experience. While Delhi introduced me to the flavours of North Indian cuisine, I consider Hyderabad as the food hub of South Indian Cuisine where the amalgamation of traditional Hindu & Muslim cooking meets which I’ve found the most delectable and beautiful in its own way. Good food according to me should be hearty that touch the soul without going over the top ingredients and fancy look. I’m a self taught home cook & baker that has learned so much from my mother’s cooking and of course from the diverse platform of recipe sharing.

In this blog, I would like to share simple and easy to cook & bake recipes, some traditional Bodo & Assamese cuisine, child friendly dishes and food travel guide. If you happen to come here, your views, love, comment and feedback will be highly appreciated.
Much love
Thank you!
